The final LPA currently requires physical signing and witnessing under England & Wales rules.
Does my signature need witnessing?
Yes.
Can my attorney witness my signature?
No. Attorneys should not witness the donor’s signature.
Does signing order matter?
Yes. LPAs must be signed in the correct legal order.
What happens after signing?
The LPA is sent to the Office of the Public Guardian for registration.
